Richard is currently finishing work on his debut feature film 'FOUL EVIL DEEDS’. A story about people being bad.
RECENT PROJECTS: ‘something gruesome’ (straight 8 Cannes winner & BFI top 25 winner), ‘skeletons’ (winner best British short & best cinematography - UK Film Festival 2023), ‘lovely creature’ (jury prize winner - London Film Week 2022),’ evil’s evil cousin’ (winner best film - Terror Film Festival 2016).
BACKGROUND: Richard grew up making video-to-video VHS skateboard films and skits. His two biggest hits “Cheesy Crackers” and “Shoe In A Shoebox” garnered widespread critical acclaim - exclusively amongst his year 9 peers and a handful of disgruntled teachers. Resulting in lunchtime videos being banned for two weeks (or 14 days to the layman). From here he went on to get his bachelor’s in documentary film making. Moved to London. Cut his teeth on independent music videos. Made his first commercial on 16mm film. Started hemming his own trousers and then decided it was about time to get a small dog. Now Richard spends most of his time crafting performance driven comedy that taps into the subtle quirks of human behaviour, unlocking a weird and wonderful viewpoint of modern Britain and beyond.
