Richard Hunter is a London based filmmaker who loves to blend his dark humour with unsettling moments, creating scenes that reflect the human condition right back to the audience.
He gained recognition for his short films "Evil's Evil Cousin" (2015), "Skeletons" (2019), "Lovely Creature" (2022) - and then went on to receive wider acclaim for his debut feature film "FOUL EVIL DEEDS" (2024) which premiered in competition at the 2024 Locarno Film Festival. The film then went on to be 'longlisted' in two categories at the British Independent Film Awards (including best British Independent Feature Film) and in November was 'shortlisted'/nominated for the Raindance Maverick Award at the 2025 BIFAs.
Hunter's latest film "Thanks To Meet You!" (2025) had it's world premiere at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival and is currently touring the film festival circuit.
